Both the author and the lecturer concentrate on the alternative fuel. The reading passage asserts that there are three existing measures to substitute the fossil fuels. However, the professor in the lecture totally refutes all the passages viewpoints.
Firstly, even though the writer claims that hydrogen can replace fossil fuels, the speaker discredits this by arguing that even though hydrogen do not discharge carbon dioxide, producing it needs a great deal of fossil fuels, which leads to a lot of carbon dioxide released.
Therefore, it is less likely to contribute to relieving global warming Furthermore, despite the statement in the reading passage that there are bio fuel that can be extracted from plants, the professor contends that the process of growing plants requires enormous space, which undeniably results in the fact that there is no so many areas to meet the demand of planting. Naturally, if these areas were given to meet this requirement, it would not cater for the daily food like corn or sugarcane.
Finally, the author states that advanced technology can be utilized to extract carbon dioxide.
The lecturer counters that modern technics cannot satisfy the requirement that extract fuel to
provide energy from carbon dioxide. For these concerns, this way can not be taken out.

Traditionally,giving grades is considered the most common method to stimulate students＇
motivation, but a soaring number of educationalists, meanwhile, start to focus more on other
methodologies, like applying advanced technology, studying with group work and introducing
practice out of school. However, from my perspective, group study is indeed essential stimulus
First and foremost, never should we deny the fact that group study can help reveal a student’s shortcomings in studies, which contributes to their motivation and interest. this is especially true when we consider the fact that students will have the opportunities to discover their weak points on some subjects by comparing with others in the same team. in other words, they may go all out to find the reasons for the loss marks and obtain positive attitude toward their school performance. As a consequence, if such works, progress can be made.
Furthermore, another major superiority of group study is that it provides an environment in which students can exchange ideas with each other. It is well known that knowledge knows no bounds, so it is almost impossible for even an eminent professor at university to have a good command of everything, let alone an ordinary student. In consequence, students should be divided into different groups or classes so that they can communicate with, learn from and help each other. In this case, this is more likely to trigger their enthusiasm and motivation.
However, this does not mean that advanced technology cannot assist students in stimulating their interest. To be specific, the massive data storage capacity of an electronic reader allows the storage of the equivalent of piles of thick books. If students are using these forms of textbooks, they no longer have to stuff their schoolbags with paper books, lessening their burden physically What's more, the adoption of visual and sound effects makes studying and reading time more enjoyable. Consequently, this ultimately contributes to motivate their interest.
In conclusion, even if the applying advanced technology and introducing practice out of school can be regarded as the powerful tool to foster learners 'interest, nothing is more effective than group study.
